The Mooney Firm

Effective date: August 25, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Mooney Firm (“the firm,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with this website, www.attymooney.com (the “website”). This website provides information and a limited general inquiry form. It is not a secure intake, document, scheduling, or payment system. Please read this notice before submitting information through the website.

1. Information we collect

General inquiry form

The form collects your name, email address, and general inquiry type. If you choose to provide them, it also collects your telephone number, organization or firm, a time-sensitive flag with an optional brief timing note, and a brief administrative note. The form does not ask for party or counsel names, dispute facts, documents, detailed scheduling answers, or payment information. The timing note is limited to a deadline or general timing need.

Technical records

The hosting provider may process technical records needed to deliver and protect the site, such as an internet protocol address, browser information, request time, and requested page. The site does not intentionally use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

2. How an inquiry is delivered

The website uses Resend, configured through Strelva’s mail infrastructure, to deliver the form fields to The Mooney Firm by email. The site does not add the submission to a separate website database. Hosting, delivery, and recipient email providers may process records needed to operate and protect their services.

3. How we use information

Information collected through the website is used only to:

  • Respond to your inquiry
  • Determine whether the firm can assist you
  • Maintain the security and proper operation of the website

Submitting the form or contacting the firm through the website does not create an attorney-client relationship. An attorney-client relationship is formed only through a written agreement signed by both you and the firm.

4. No secure intake through the website

Do not use the form or an initial email to send confidential communications, dispute details, mediation submissions, or documents. If more information is needed, the firm can identify an appropriate channel.

5. Cookies and analytics

The website does not intentionally use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and it does not currently use analytics services. If this changes, this notice will be updated to describe the tools used and the choices available to you.

6. How information is shared

The firm does not sell or rent your information. Information may be shared only:

  • With service providers who host, deliver, or protect the website and its email infrastructure, subject to their own operational and security practices
  • When required by law or legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of the firm or others

7. Direct email, telephone, and external links

Direct email, telephone calls, and any external links on the website are subject to the privacy and security practices of those channels or destination services, not this notice. Please limit an initial contact to the information requested on the contact page unless the firm has confirmed another delivery method.

8. Data retention

The firm retains information collected through the website only as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry, determine whether the firm can assist you, and comply with applicable professional and legal obligations.

9. Data security

The firm and its service providers take reasonable measures to protect information submitted through the website. No website or electronic transmission is completely secure, and the firm cannot guarantee absolute security. This is a further reason not to submit confidential or sensitive information through the website.

10. Children’s privacy

This website is not directed to individuals under the age of thirteen, and the firm does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.

11. Notice to California residents

This section applies to visitors who reside in California and supplements the other sections of this notice. It is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the “CCPA”).

Categories of personal information collected

In the preceding twelve months, the website has collected the following categories of personal information, as defined under the CCPA: identifiers, such as your name, email address, and telephone number; and other information you voluntarily provide, such as your organization or firm and the content of your inquiry. The website does not collect sensitive personal information, and it does not collect the categories described in the other sections of this notice, such as biometric information, geolocation, or internet browsing history beyond the basic technical records described above.

Sources and purposes

The firm collects this information directly from you when you submit the general inquiry form. The firm uses this information only for the purposes described in Section 3 above, which are to respond to your inquiry, determine whether the firm can assist you, and maintain the security and proper operation of the website.

No sale or sharing of personal information

The firm does not sell personal information, and it does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the CCPA. The firm has not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months.

Your California privacy rights

Subject to certain exceptions, California residents have the right to:

  • Know the categories and specific pieces of personal information the firm has collected, and the purposes for which it is used
  • Delete personal information the firm has collected, subject to certain legal and professional obligations that may require the firm to retain some records
  • Correct inaccurate personal information
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, though the firm does not engage in either practice
  • Not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these rights, contact the firm using the information in Section 13 below. The firm will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before responding to a request.
